Philip is also a twice-commissioned First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army National Guard for the state of Connecticut, where he provides services as an Assistant Judge Advocate.

After graduating from the University of Connecticut in 2011, Philip received his Juris Doctor from the Roger Williams University School of Law and was admitted and sworn into the Connecticut Bar in 2015.

The grandson of a former Farmington High School track and field coach, Philip currently lives with his wife in neighboring West Hartford where he was born and raised.
