We are open for business, as the Governor’s closure order exempts legal services.
Courts are open for emergency business, but postponing in person appearances for the foreseeable future. Court decisions will be delayed, as very few judges and support personnel are physically present in the courthouses.
Real estate closings are exempt from the closure order, and we are going forward when possible with some changes. In person meetings are still required for original signatures and witnesses on closing documents, but we are trying to avoid large closings with buyers, sellers, realtors and attorneys all present in the same room at the same time. Banks are open, so funding should continue to be available, but delays may occur throughout the closing process.
If you come to the office please make sure you are not symptomatic, and maintain social distance. We are wiping down the conference rooms with disinfectant before and after all meetings.
We are also available by electronic means to confer with you, and invite your questions and concerns about how Covid 19 may affect your case or transaction.
Thank you, and stay safe and healthy.
